Kindergarten Recitation Lesson Plans
Kindergarten Recitation Lesson Plans
During the grammar stage of classical education (pre-kindergarten through fourth grade), children’s minds are sponge-like in nature. They are capable of memorizing vast amounts of information. Recitation is a course designed to encourage memorization and proper presentation of chosen content. Some rewards of memorization and recitation include, but are not limited to, increasing student’s memory, allowing him to experience eloquent language, and assisting him in learning to confidently speak in front of others.
LPL have organized 36-week lesson plans consisting of carefully chosen portions from A Catechism for Boys and Girls, scripture passages, the world’s oceans and continents, countries of North and South America, poems, and cardinal directions.
You will be amazed at what your kindergartener is able to commit to memory!
