3rd Grade Science Lesson Plans
3rd Grade Science Lesson Plans
Young children are naturally inquisitive. In order to maintain this creativity, LPL believe it is imperative that such curiosity be fostered throughout the early school years. Lesson Plan Ladies have created a fact-based, fun science curriculum that follows closely to the plan laid out in The Well-Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer and Jessie Wise.
During third grade, your child will explore the wonderful world of chemistry. Our weekly lesson plan science format will look like this:
• Read an excerpt from the science text
• Look up listed vocabulary words in the science encyclopedia, science text, or dictionary
• Define and illustrate vocabulary in your Science Notebook
• Review vocabulary and add new information to definitions
• Watch an Internet snippet
• Perform a fun, concept-reinforcing science experiment or activity
